During a home renovation project a few months ago, I wrote about my plan to put a stained glass window in a shower stall to provide natural light in a bathroom that was partially below grade. Here's a photo of how the project turned out with a custom window from Stained Glass Palace. The 18-inch square insulated window cost about $200; the price included the costs of sandwiching the window between pieces of tempered glass to meet local zoning requirements. The price was the cheapest I was quoted for either a new or salvaged window. The workmanship is a little crude (you can't tell from this picture, but at the bottom of the bouquet, the colored pieces are off-center and edges don't meet perfectly) but the obviously homemade quality adds to its charm.
